Whole House Water Filtration Systems
Enjoy clean, filtered water from every faucet in your home. Our whole house filtration systems remove sediment, chlorine, and other contaminants—protecting your family and your plumbing.
See Our SystemsWhy Whole House Filtration?
While point-of-use filters only treat water at one faucet, whole house filtration treats ALL the water entering your home. This means clean water for:
- Drinking and cooking
- Showering and bathing
- Laundry
- Dishwashing
- All household uses
This comprehensive approach protects your entire plumbing system and all water-using appliances.
What Whole House Filtration Removes
- Sediment and particulates
- Chlorine and chloramines
- Bad tastes and odors
- Organic compounds
- Some pesticides and herbicides
For homes with specific issues like iron, hardness, or high TDS, we can design a multi-stage system that addresses all your water quality concerns.

We carry Hellenbrand's professional-grade filtration systems, designed to treat your entire home's water supply. Whether you need basic sediment protection or a comprehensive multi-stage solution, we'll match the right system to your water test results.
Hellenbrand ProMate 6 Filter
The ProMate 6 Filter is Hellenbrand's dedicated whole-house filtration unit, built on the same proven ProMate platform used in their water softeners. It uses a high-capacity filter media bed to remove sediment, particulates, chlorine, and organic compounds from every drop of water entering your home. The result is cleaner water for drinking, bathing, laundry, and every appliance that uses water.
- Whole-house filtration from a single unit
- Removes sediment, chlorine, taste, and odor
- Automatic backwash cycle keeps media clean
- Built on the proven ProMate 6 platform
- Programmable control valve with easy-to-read display
Activated Carbon Filtration
For homes on municipal water supplies, chlorine and its byproducts are the primary water quality concern. Our activated carbon filtration systems use high-grade granular activated carbon (GAC) to adsorb chlorine, chloramines, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and the chemical tastes and odors that make tap water unpleasant. You'll notice the difference the first time you fill a glass.
- Eliminates chlorine taste and chemical odors
- Reduces VOCs, pesticides, and herbicides
- High-grade granular activated carbon media
- Automatic backwash extends media life
- Great for homes on city or municipal water
Custom Multi-Stage Systems
Many Northern Minnesota homes face multiple water quality issues at once—hard water, iron, sediment, and odor. Rather than relying on a single filter to do everything, we design multi-stage systems that combine the right Hellenbrand components in sequence. A typical setup might include a sediment pre-filter, an Iron Curtain Jr for iron removal, a ProMate 6 softener for hardness, and a point-of-use RO for drinking water. Each stage is sized for your home's specific conditions.
- Custom designed around your water test results
- Multiple Hellenbrand components in sequence
- Each stage targets a specific water problem
- Sized to your household's flow rate and demand
- One integrated system, professionally installed
Whole House vs. Point-of-Use: Why Treating All Your Water Matters
Contaminants in your water don't just affect what you drink—they affect everything. Chlorine dries out your skin and hair in the shower. Sediment clogs your washing machine and dishwasher valves. Iron stains your toilets, sinks, and laundry. Hard water builds up inside your water heater, reducing efficiency and shortening its life.
For drinking water specifically, a point-of-use reverse osmosis (RO) system is the gold standard—it removes up to 99% of dissolved contaminants and delivers the purest water possible right from your kitchen faucet. We do not recommend pitcher filters, refrigerator filters, or basic faucet-mount filters as a long-term solution. These consumer-grade filters have limited capacity, inconsistent performance, and do not remove the range of contaminants that a professional RO system does.
A whole-house filtration system treats water at the point of entry, so every tap, appliance, and fixture in your home gets clean, filtered water. Paired with a point-of-use RO system for drinking water, this combination gives you the most comprehensive water quality solution available.
Our technicians will perform a free in-home water test, identify exactly what's in your water, and recommend the right combination of filtration to solve it. No guesswork, no one-size-fits-all approach—just a system built for your water.
